Commercial Transactions & International Trade
We advise importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors and service providers on the contracts, approvals and disputes that come with doing business in and with Bangladesh.
Commercial clarity from negotiation to delivery
Every commercial relationship rests on its contract. We draft and negotiate agreements that reflect what our clients actually agreed, allocate risk sensibly and give them practical remedies if the other side fails to perform.
For cross-border trade, we also guide clients through import and export rules, letters of credit, customs questions and foreign-exchange requirements — and, when disputes arise, we pursue claims through negotiation, arbitration or the courts.

Frequently asked questions
Can you review a contract sent by a foreign supplier?
Yes. We review foreign-drafted contracts against Bangladeshi law and practice and propose changes that protect your position.
Do I need an Import Registration Certificate (IRC)?
Most commercial importers do. We advise on the registration and any product-specific permits your goods may require.
What happens if a buyer does not pay for exported goods?
Depending on the contract and payment terms, remedies may include claims under the LC, negotiation, arbitration or court proceedings. We assess the best route.
Can disputes be resolved outside court?
Yes. Many commercial contracts provide for arbitration, and we also handle negotiation and mediation.
